Kongevegen over Filefjell fekk 15/5-2017 tildelt EU sin kulturminnepris for sitt arbeid med å restaurere den historiske vegen. Juryen seier om Kongevegen over Filefjell: "dette kombinerte kultur - og landskapsprosjektet er av høgaste kvalitet og har hatt eit stort fokus på best mogleg praksis i gjennomføringa".

The famous and beautiful King's road across Filefjell was 15th of May 2017 awarded the EU Prize for cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Awards.

The jury said the following about the road:

"this combined culture - and landscapeprosject holds a very high degree of quality and has had their focus on best practise in their restoration project".
